The Italian Alliance for Sustainable Development (ASviS), which already gathers over 160 organizations in the economic and social field (thus involving several thousands of individuals), decided to launch the first Sustainable Development Festival, which will develop throughout 17 days, from May 22nd to June 7th. Over 200 events (conferences, seminars, workshops, shows, etc.) will take place to recall public attention both on the 17 SDGs and on the issues that cut across the entire 2030 Agenda, from education to finance for sustainable development, from the tools to design and evaluate policies to institutional transformations favoring the implementation of sustainable development policies.
The press conference presenting the Festival will take place on May 12th at the Foreign Press Association in Italy. Also on May 12th, the website dedicated to the Festival will be launched. The website will allow users to view the calendar of the scheduled events, where the latter will be searchable in relation to the location, speakers and topics involved. It goes without saying that the Festival will also go social, with live broadcasts available online and other information which will be specifically designed for Twitter and Facebook.
