From June 10th to June 12th, 2026, the LIFE BE-WoodEN project will be present at the New European Bauhaus Festival Fair in Brussels with an exhibition stand titled “NEB and Placemaking: LIFE BE-WoodEN for Social Housing.”
The stand is designed as a small-scale participatory laboratory, consistent with the methodology tested in the Imperia pilot project. It is not a simple showcase of results, but a tool that allows visitors to engage directly with the process that guided the transformation of shared spaces in a social housing building, from the Innovation Lab, to Challenge-Based Learning, and finally to wood-based self-construction.
The visitor experience is structured into three stages: the presentation of the Imperia case study through videos and exhibition materials, direct participation in two hands-on activities, a collective feedback session, where gathered ideas will be shared with ARTE Imperia and local stakeholders as a concrete contribution to the ongoing design process.
