The University of Genoa, under the coordination of the Environmental Sustainability Commission, has set up a path towards a more responsible management of its resources, including key issues for a University increasingly aware of the importance of its social and environmental impact.

Main actions carried out by UniGe in order to promote a sustainable approach and to contribute to Goal 12 of the 2030 Agenda range from encouraging the reduction of waste production and separate waste collection, to researching innovative projects and solutions in support of a circular economy, as well as an increasing commitment to sustainable procurement and the development of purchasing and investment policies that take environmental and social impacts into careful consideration.
