The University of Genoa, under the coordination of the Environmental Sustainability Commission, has set up a path towards a more responsible management of its resources, including key issues for a University increasingly aware of the importance of its social and environmental impact.
Main actions carried out by UniGe in order to promote a sustainable approach and to contribute to SDG 12 are: promoting separate waste collection and reducing waste production; looking for innovative solutions to improve a circular economy approach, also thanks to the involvement of the academic community and local stakeholders; assuring an increasingly effective application of the Minimum Environmental Criteria in purchasing and promoting sustainable procurement and investment policies.
