Since 1 April 2019, UniGe has been purchaising certified electricity from renewable sources for its buildings, for a total of 19 GWh per year, which satisfy the entire annual electricity requirement and avoid the emission of more than 9,000 tons of CO2 per year.

Currently, for the period April 2023 - March 2024, following adhesion to the Consip EE19 Convention, the energy is supplied by Enel Energia.
