The European project PLASTRON, funded by the Interreg Italy-France Maritime Program 2021-2027, comes to Stintino with the aim of revolutionizing the reuse of plastics recovered from the sea. This aims to promote the circular economy and resilience of tourism businesses through additive manufacturing, turning marine waste into new resources.
In May 2025, the Tonnara Museum in Stintino hosted the “PLASTRON Dialogues,” a series of meetings open to the public dedicated to marine environmental protection, recycling of plastics and microplastics, and the circular economy.
