On the thirtieth anniversary of the regional law establishing the Ligurian Regional Parks and Protected Areas System, the Liguria Region organised the conference "A Vertical Eden - Parks of Liguria", scheduled for Saturday, 11 October 2025 at the Palazzo Ducale in Genoa.

The event will be an opportunity to discuss the role of protected areas as a system of conservation, education and sustainable tourism, and the impacts of climate change.

UniGe will participate with a series of presentations:
- Barbara Cavalletti - "Valorizzazione della biodiversità per lo sviluppo socio-economico delle aree protette"
- Andrea Marsan - "La fauna selvatica nelle aree protette della Liguria"
- Luigi Minuto - "Aree di tutela marina"; 
- Francesco Faccini - "Il patrimonio geologico delle aree protette, tra valorizzazione e tutela".

The event will be held at the Palazzo Ducale - Sala del Minor Consiglio, in Piazza De Ferrari, Genoa.
