Photographic exhibition: athletic skills

‘Athletic Abilities’ is an exhibition born from the desire to portray sport as a space for freedom, expression and identity. The photographic exhibition explores the concept of ability and celebrates the variety of physicality in sport.

Through a series of intense and authentic photographic portraits, the exhibition invites us to look at athletic bodies beyond aesthetic standards and commonly understood categories of “ability”.
Sport thus becomes a lens through which to explore bodily diversity in all its forms: bionic bodies, athletes with disabilities, transgender people, young people, adults and simply real bodies, each with its own unique story.

The exhibition invites visitors to reflect on the deeper meaning of ‘ability’: not as a measure of performance, but as the capacity to exist, to experience the body as a territory of identity, relationships and potential, in an age in which the image of the body is often standardised or filtered.
