Bio fermento. Materia viva - Natural colours and biomaterials in design

Workshop “BIO FERMENTO. MATERIA VIVA – Natural colours and biomaterials in design

Materia in Fermento is an experimental workshop dedicated to the relationship between design, installation and sustainability, where materials become tools for investigation and co-creation. The workshop explores how living materials and natural pigments, through fermentation and colouring processes, translate the principles of biodesign and the circular economy into practice. Through the fermentation of kombucha and the use of plant pigments, students will explore the potential of biodesign as a practice capable of intertwining nature, matter and creativity.

During the workshop:

  • Extraction and application of natural pigments from plants and waste
  • Cultivation of SCOBY and experimentation with kombucha

WHEN:
