Well-being, Health, and Sustainability: the Bioactive Heritage of the Diet Mediterranea Ligure

On December 12, the Genoa Chamber of Commerce will host the SINU Liguria and Sardinia Regional Conference entitled “Well-being, Health, and Sustainability: the Bioactive Heritage of the Ligurian Mediterranean Diet.”

The initiative is part of the program dedicated to the fifteen years of the Mediterranean Diet and the promotion of Ligurian products of excellence. The conference will present the Food Atlas of Ligurian Dishes - Genoa Liguria Gourmet and will address the themes of FAO World Food Day 2025. During the conference, the role of bioactive molecules typical of the Mediterranean Diet—polyphenols, carotenoids, phytosterols, omega-3, fiber, and sulfur compounds—in the prevention of major chronic diseases will be highlighted. The event will offer an integrated insight into research, clinical nutrition, and public health.

The event is free of charge, but registration is required: sinu_liguria_sardegna@sinu.it.
