“10 Essays for Sustainability” is Italy’s first degree award dedicated to sustainability.

The competition rewards 10 essays from all disciplines, both humanities and sciences, that make strong and original references to the principle of sustainability in all its aspects, economic, environmental, and social.

The 10 winners will receive a cash prize of €2000, offered by Luiss. The Evaluation Committee has the right to award Honorable Mentions to non-winning theses that are considered particularly valid.

In addition, all candidates will have the opportunity to publish their theses and CVs on the official website of the competition, where they will be accessible for consultation by companies and institutions.

The evaluation of the theses consists of two stages:

• Technical Evaluation Committee, composed of professors from partner universities, which selects 30 finalist theses, three per subject area.
• Scientific Committee, composed of authoritative representatives of the project's partner institutions, which is responsible for selecting the ten winning theses.

The deadline for submitting applications is January 31, 2026.
