Circular City Forum - FOCUS UniGe

On Monday, April 20, at the MOG Mercato Orientale in Genoa, as part of the Circular City Forum 2026, we're having an afternoon dedicated to our university: FOCUS UniGe.

The program includes:
- 2:00–7:00 PM - INSPIRATIONAL SPEECH for UniGe students
A keynote address dedicated to UniGe students, designed to inspire them to develop their own ideas and turn them into concrete entrepreneurial ventures.

- 2:00–7:00 PM - THE CIRCULAR IDEAS MARKET
Participants will have the opportunity to speak with the startup contest finalists and engage with them at dedicated booths. There will also be a booth where you can learn more about UniGe’s activities in technology transfer and sustainability.

- 4:30–6:00 PM - UniGe CIRCULAR CONTEST
Presentation of the best ideas from students at the University of Genoa related to innovative proposals on circularity and sustainability, selected as part of the UniGe Circular Contest.

- 6:00–7:00 PM - TALK: STARTUPS, INNOVATION, AND CIRCULARITY
A talk dedicated to the relationship between startups and circularity, featuring presentations that will offer insights and perspectives on the topic of sustainable innovation. Patrizia Cepollina, Director of Research, Technology Transfer, and the Third Mission, will also speak, delivering a talk titled “Innovation + Sustainability = The University’s Third Mission.”

- 7:00 PM - UniGe CIRCULAR CONTEST AWARDS CEREMONY
Gabriele Caviglioli, the Rector’s Delegate for Technology Transfer, Patents, and Spin-offs, will also be present at the final awards ceremony. He is part of the jury that will evaluate the projects submitted by UniGe students as part of the Circular City Contest dedicated to them.
