Implementation of the Nature Restoration Regulation

The final report on the “Implementation of the Nature Restoration Regulation” is now available online. It is the result of the “Restoring Nature for Children in Italy” project, in which the University of Genoa participated through its Department of Law.

After initially serving as a research unit, UniGe became the project lead in July 2025, with Chiara Cellerino as principal investigator.

The report, available on the project website, offers an in-depth analysis of EU Regulation 2024/1991 on nature restoration, addressing both the legal framework and the main implementation tools, including public financing mechanisms and innovative private finance solutions, such as nature credits.
