Sustainable Fishing: Workshops, Talks, and Showcooking

As part of the Festival Blue, on June 11th, 2026, the Genova Blue District will host a day dedicated to sustainable fishing, the sea, its traditions, and the future of coastal communities, with the title “SUSTAINABLE FISHING: Workshops, Talks, and Showcooking.”

The day includes the following activities:

  • At 4:00 p.m., the workshop “Fish and Learn”, led by fisherman Luigi Sartor: an engaging experience for all ages exploring traditional fishing, local marine species, and the deep connection between the territory and maritime culture.
  • At 5:00 p.m., the workshop “Skilled Hands, Sea Flavours: Anchovy Processing”, where participants can try hands-on techniques related to the processing of fresh fish.
  • At 6:30 p.m., the talk “Living the Sea”: visions, governance, and opportunities for coastal communities between fishing, sustainability, and local development. A discussion featuring:

    Mirvana Feletti, Liguria Region

  • At 7:30 p.m., a showcooking session with Ittiturismo Feipin. During the tasting, a marine biologist will guide the audience through curiosities, stories, and insights about the species used and the recipes presented.
