Energy for Young People, “Visions: Images and the Future of a Project”

On Monday, June 8, 2026 at 10:30 AM, at the Salone Nobile of Villa Cambiaso in Genoa, the event “Visions: Images and the Future of a Project” will take place, a morning dedicated to bringing students closer to the world of energy.

Energy for Young People is a project promoted by the University of Genoa, Confindustria Liguria, and TICASS | EASS Hub, designed to build a bridge between education and the labour market. The initiative offers students a concrete opportunity to get to know six leading companies in the energy sector (Axpo, Duferco, ERG, Fichtner, Iren, and Tirreno Power), not only through technical lectures delivered by industry professionals, but also through meetings and real opportunities such as thesis projects, internships, and job offers.

For international students, the project also provides dedicated support for learning the Italian language, integrating into the local culture, and understanding administrative procedures and permits needed to build a professional career in Italy.

The morning will open with institutional greetings from the Rector of the University of Genoa, Federico Delfino, and the Dean of the School of Polytechnic Sciences, Patrizia Perego, followed by an intervention from Andrea Delucchi (Confindustria Liguria), project coordinator. Valeria Bianchi and Nikta Shirmohammadi (TICASS) will then present the project and the opportunities available to students. The session will be moderated by Elisabetta Arato (TICASS / EASS Hub).

At the heart of the programme will be the dialogue “Visual Storytelling and Energy Transition”, featuring photojournalist Marco Garofalo, University of Genoa professor Loredana Magistri, and Matteo Dellacasagrande from Ingegneria Senza Frontiere. The discussion will explore the role of imagery in communicating the energy transition and its impact on people and communities.

The event will also include a photographic exhibition by Marco Garofalo.

The morning will close with a Q&A session, closing remarks, and a light lunch.
