On May 19 at the Savona Campus, the Sustainability Mural was inaugurated. It was designed and created by students from the Liceo Artistico Chiabrera Martini high school in Savona as part of a PCTO project with UniGe.
The artistic work, which was presented last October, with a preview, during the “Route to a Sustainable Future” workshop at the Festival of Sustainable Development 2022, wants to show the Sustainable development Goals (SDGs) reinterpreted and portrayed by the students. The drawings were made over the past few weeks on an interior portion of the boundary wall of the Savona Campus.
The opening ceremony, had as its patroness the multi-time ski champion Federica Brignone, who has always been focused on promoting awareness of issues related to environmental protection.
The event is included among the events of the Festival of Sustainable Development 2023 and sponsored by the Italian Network of Universities for Sustainable Development (RUS).
The Murales was mentioned in the 2024 Best Practices Report produced by the International Sustainable Campus Network (ISCN), a document that presents 45 case studies from 36 ISCN universities member committed to create a sustainable future through teaching, learning and research, campus management and community engagement.
