Remida Day - 16th Edition

On Saturday, May 16th from 10:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., the sixteenth edition of Remida Day will take place in the Cortile Maggiore of Palazzo Ducale.

Remida Day is a celebration dedicated to recognizing the value of imperfections and mistakes as opportunities to discover new forms of expression and new ways of acting through collective participation. The event encourages a different approach to environmental issues and fosters greater awareness and sensitivity toward sustainability.

This year’s edition will focus on Reuse, Repair, and Regeneration activities.

Programme

10:30 a.m. – Opening

  • Special free distribution of reclaimed materials collected by the Remida Center Genoa, including: paper and cardboard, fabrics and buttons, plastic offcuts, paper and fabric flowers, donated by local shops, companies, and artisans.

  • Presentation Talk of the “TooRNA” Web App: 4:00 p.m., in the area next to the AMT Ticket Office
  • Denim Jacket Distribution and Customization Workshop (Lab ’85) – 11:00 a.m.–12:30 p.m.
  • Recycled Materials Workshop (Lab ’85) – 3:00 p.m.–5:00 p.m.
  • Recycled Materials Workshop (keychains made from bicycle inner tubes) – BiciOfficina BOOM – 3:00 p.m.–5:00 p.m.
  • Repair Café (Organized by Al Verde APS) -  A mobile repair workshop (APE vehicle) offering repairs for: household items,
    toys, small electrical appliances, kitchen utensils, lamps, and more.

  • “Creazioni al Fresco”: collections of bags and accessories created by recycling banners from museums and city events.
  • A Filo Libero: loom-weaving workshop.

5:15 p.m. – Closing Concert

Final performance by “Ritmiciclando”.

 

To participate in the activities visitors can register directly at the welcome desk located under the portico of the Cortile Maggiore on the day of the event.

 

The 16th edition of Remida Day has been organized in collaboration with the Educational Services and Cultural Events Department of the Palazzo Ducale Foundation for Culture, AMIU Genoa, and the Social Cooperative Il Laboratorio through the Re-mix Project, with the support of the Compagnia di San Paolo Foundation.
