On Thursday, May 14th, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM, the event “It’s Not Food – The Silent Invasion of Ultra-Processed Foods on Our Tables” will take place in the Aula San Salvatore (Piazza Sarzano 9, Genoa).
This will be the first event in the series Healthy for You, Fair for the Earth, conceived and organized by the volunteers of the Agricultural Civil Service project “UnigeSenior&Sani”, promoted by UniGe and Bottega Solidale.
Guest speaker will be Alessandro Franceschini, General Director of the Volunteering Service Centre of Belluno and Treviso, who will analyse the critical impact of ultra-processed industrial products not only on human health but also on the balance of the social economy.
The event will be opened by the coordinators of the Civil Service project UnigeSenior&Sani, Federica Imperiale for UniGe and Federica Rolandi for Bottega Solidale.
The speaker will be introduced by Livia Pisciotta, UniGe professor and representative in the Food Working Group of the Network of Universities for Sustainable Development (RUS).
The initiative is open to the public upon registration and represents a valuable opportunity to reflect on how our grocery choices can have a positive impact on both our health and the world around us.
Access is by reservation via the following link: event “It’s Not Food”.
