On Thursday, May 7th, from 3:00 PM to 5:30 PM, an event titled “Amerigo Vespucci World Tour 2026 – Together to Discuss Sustainability, Innovation and Sea-Related Skills” will take place on the dock area facing the Amerigo Vespucci.
The event will feature three panels:
- Panel 1: Climate Change and Biodiversity – Actions and Ideas for the Sea. An exchange among experts on the current state and future perspectives. Speakers include Marco Giovine (Sea Centre – University of Genoa), Mariachiara Chiantore (University of Genoa – National Biodiversity Centre), Matilde Malerba (IREN), Paola Tepsich (Fondazione CIMA), and Paola Carnevale (ARPAL).
- Panel 2: Technological Innovation for the Environment – Eco-robotics. A discussion between experts and companies from the RAISE ecosystem on progress made in developing new tools for environmental monitoring and protection. Speakers include Marco Faimali (IAS CNR – Spoke 3 RAISE), Cosimo Palmisano (WSENSE), Leonardo Montecamozzo (MYWAI), and Emanuele Giorgi (NeMeA Sistemi).
- Panel 3: Building Skills in the Blue Economy. A focus on emerging needs and competencies, as well as ongoing initiatives in training and workforce development. Speakers include Paolo Fasce (Istituto Nautico San Giorgio), Giovanni Costaguta (Genova For Yachting), Egidio Massone (Genova Industrie Navali), and Silvia Salis (Mayor of Genoa).
