As part of UniGe's Sustainability Policies, the 2022-2030 UniGe Climate Strategy has been established by the Environmental Sustainability Commission and approved by the Board of Directors in 2022.
The strategy, starting from the latest UniGe greenhouse gas (GHG) inventory certified in 2021, outlines a path to reduce direct emissions, caused by the burning of fossil fuels, and indirect ones related to the consumption of electricity. The strategy also allows for the identification of specific actions to reduce other indirect emissions, including those related to mobility, waste, water consumption and purchases.
